Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Jammu to Srinagar/Pick up from Srinagar Airport and transfer to pre booked hotel. After fresh n up at afternoon explore dalgate boulevard & Enjoy the Shikara ride at Dal lake. Over night stay Srinagar.

 

Day 02: Srinagar to Kargil After  breakfast, get ready for your road transfer to Kargil. On the way, there are halts at Sonamarg – a pristine valley with lush green views and snow-clad peak; Zojila Pass (a high altitude pass); Drass Village- the world's 2nd coldest inhabited place. Here you visit War memorial hall and Museum- also known as Vijay path. The memorial was constructed by the Indian Army in the memory of the soldiers and officers of the Indian Army who laid their lives in the Kargil War. Evening arrival in Kargil. Check-in formalities. The rest of the evening is at your leisure. You can stroll around the market of Kargil and enjoy the mesmerizing view of the Suru River during the sunset.

Return to the hotel in the evening and have a sumptuous dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kargil.

 

Day 03: Kargil to Leh After breakfast, start driving towards Leh. On the way stop for a quick visit to the Lamayuru monastery. Lamayuru is known for its unique landscape that resembles the moon. Take clicks of the beauty to cherish it as wonderful memories. Continue with your journey. Stop at the Magnetic Hill to marvel at the amazing natural wonder. Also, pay respects to Pathar Sahib Gurudwara- constructed in memory of Guru Nanak Dev Ji- the founder of Sikh religion and the first guru. Continue your road journey. On arrival in Leh.Complete the check-in formalities at your hotel. The evening is at your leisure.Overnight stay in Leh.

 

Day 04: LEH EXCURSION  TO  MONASTERIES (50 KMS / 02 HRS – ONE WAY)

Post Breakfast we proceed for Indus Valley Monastery Starting with Hemis Gompa, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism, Thiksey Monastery an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village, Shey Palace, The ancient capital of Ladakh & Sindhu Ghat. After visiting the above places we drive back to Leh. Evening at leisure to explore the city on your own. Dinner & Overnight at the Hotel

 

Day 5- LEH–NUBRA VALLEY VIA KHARDUNG LA 18,390 FT. (120 KMS / 5 – 6 HRS)

Post breakfast we drive to Nubra Valley. The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over Khardung La (The Highest Motorable Road In The World) at 5,602 Mtrs / 18,390 Ft, around 39 km from Leh. From the pass, one can see all the way south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, and north to the giants of the Saser massif. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldumra or the valley of flowers. It is situated in the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. The average altitude of the valley is 10,000 Ft. above sea level. 

Upon arrival in Nubra we check in at our Camp / Hotel in Hunder for Overnight stay. In the evening you can do double humped camel ride(on own cost)& walk around the tiny villages to see how the locals live in this part of the world. A visit to a Ladakhi home can be arranged. Overnight Stay at the Camp or Hotel.

 

Day 6: NUBRA – TURTUK- NUBRA

After breakfast leave for visit to Turtuk . 

Turtuk is about as close as you can get to Pakistan in India, physically and literally. This delightful village is crunched into the narrowing Shyok River valley in the furthest corner of India, right at the tippy-top of the map. Only when the Indo-Pakistan war ended in 1971, Turtuk (together with 5 other Balti villages) was then included within the Indian line of border control. It remained off limits until  a few  years ago and keeping it well off the the beaten track. Turtuk in every sense a treat – culturally intact, untainted by tourism and simply delightful .  Return back to Nubra valley for overnight stay 

 

Day 07 :NUBRA TO PANGONG

After an early breakfast check out and head for Pangong Tso via shyok. Travel time is approximately 5-6 hrs.Pangong Lake situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). This famous blue brackish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 Kms wide and over 133 Kms long with half of its running the other side of the "Indo China Border ''. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable.  On arrival at Pangong , check into camp for overnight stay 

 

Day 08: PANGONG LAKE TO LEH (140 KMS / 6 HRS)

Wake up calls by the migratory birds this morning. Indulge in the walk beside the lake or go for a photography splurge. Later depart for Leh. On arrival at Leh, check into your hotel. Rest of the day free on own.  Overnight in Leh.

 

Day 09: Departure Tour concludes. Thank you for your patronage. Transfer to Leh Airport to catch the flight to your onward Destination.
